DAY
1: Samburu
Depart Nairobi for Samburu national reserve arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon
game drive.
This
6 days safari starts with a drive through central Kenya as you enjoy the spectacular
views of the Kikuyu settlements and coffee plantations, proceeding north across
the equator to the rugged landscapes of Samburu National Reserve. Drive to sentrim
camp samburu the tree hotel that is set on the slopes of snowcapped Mount Kenya.,
ringed by a dense rain forest that comes alive at dusk with the myriad sounds
of creatures all sizes. Then proceed to the floor of the Great Rift Valley visiting
Lake Nakuru National Park before heading further to Kenya's most spectacular of
all parks and reserves, Maasai Mara Game Reserve where you will have the best
opportunity of spotting the Big Five ( lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant)
Dinner
and overnight at Sentrim Camp Samburu.
DAY 2: Samburu
Full day in Samburu with game drives.
(Optional visits to Samburu
villages).
All meals and overnight at Sentrim Camp Samburu.
DAY
3: Lake Nakuru
Depart Samburu after breakfast and leave for Lake
Nakuru arriving in time for lunch for Lunch.Lake Nakuru is known as an ornithological
paradise by birdwatchers because the lake is world famous as the location of the
greatest bird spectacle on earth which boasts any where between one and two million
lesser and greater pink flamingos that feed on the abundant algae thriving in
the lakes warm waters. It is one of the few parks that have been specifically
established (Gazetted) for the protection of birds specifically flamingoes, more
than 450 species of birds have been recorded here. The park has also been established
for the protection of endangered species such as the rhino and is also home to
Columbus monkeys, Leopards, Giraffes, and a variety of plain antelope.
Afternoon game drive until late afternoon, later back to the camp for dinner and
overnight at the Lake Nakuru Guest House inside the park.
DAY
4: Masai Mara
Breakfast and leave for Masai Mara arriving in time
for lunch. Afternoon game drive.
Spend the day in Maasai Mara, Kenya's most
popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the
Big Five - lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant.
Game drives are flexible,
with the option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend entire day in the
the park, or you can choose to have early morning and late afternoon game drives.
You will also have the option of visiting a local Maasai village .
All
meals and overnight at the camp.
DAY
5: Masai Mara
The Mara is the home to the largest population of lions
in Kenya, these magnificent beasts spending most of the day sleeping in the shade
of acacia trees. Vast herds of buffalo, Zebra, and wildebeest roam the plains.
Impala, gazelle, giraffe and hartebeest grace the landscape, and the cautious
topi may also be seen standing sentinel on earth mounds on constant look-out of
predators.The waters of the Mara River are home to crocodiles and pools of hippo,
the acacia woodlands and revering forests favored by leopard and elephant, and
the open savannah and dry bush areas play host to the plain's game and their attendant
predators such as Lion,cheetah, hyena and jackal. Arrive in Maasai Mara Game Reserve
in time for lunch. Later proceed for an afternoon game drive.This is time of reckoning
that Masai Mara is the jewel of Africa in terms of its animal rich wealth and
its birds haven.

DAY
6: Nairobi
Depart for Nairobi after breakfast, arriving at around
1400 hours.
ACCOMMODATION:
Samburu - semi tented ( Self contained ) camp, has a hot shower, flash
toilet and beddings provided.
Nakuru - Lunch at the lodge, overnight
at the hotel outside the park.
Mara - semi tented ( Self contained
) camp, has a hot shower, flash toilet and beddings provided.
